Christchurch Earthquake

As you will almost certainly know Christchurch was struck by a tragic earthquake on Tuesday.  It’s been a sad and shocking time for everyone all around New Zealand.  Our own relatives and friends are OK.

Arthur’s Pass village was not significantly damaged by the earthquake and the road from Christchurch International Airport to Arthur’s Pass is open.  Some people in Arthur’s Pass village with ambulance and fire skills have be called out to help in Christchurch.

We’d encourage visitors to be respectful of the situation in Christchurch and avoid damaged areas in the centre, east and south of the city. Please consider making a donation to the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal to help Christchurch recover.
